Description
Reform project of the Casp Street, number 80 of Barcelona.
The challenge of the project is to add a volume on the building of the architect Enric Sagnier in the Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona.
The project is based on a contrast solution that acts as a new finish and crowning of the building, with a neutral texture that only modifies in the corners, respecting its formal singularity.
The remount includes 4 apartments with natural cross ventilation and with a facade to the street and two offices with a facade to the inner courtyard of the block.
The project ends the building crowning the same height as the two neighboring buildings so that there is a reading of harmonic and formal continuity to the building.
The industrialized construction system is used, executing modules manufactured in an external industrial building that once finished are moved and deposited on the current roof of the building. The main facade is resolved by passing a second sun protection skin formed by vertical ceramic slats.
