Description
The project proposes an extension of the surgical block of La Selva Comarcal Hospital on the 3rd floor above the current one, adapted to the approved functional Plan.
Respectful proposal with the project
The compositional will of the intervention is to achieve an extension that does not change or contrast with the current situation. The volume that is proposed respects the general composition of the building, extending vertically the area further south of the longitudinal axis of “stone”.
In order not to increase the volume of current operating ovens, it is proposed to overcome the present façade by means of a closure finished with the same stone overlapping the space of 1.35 m of difference of level with the replant of the stairs of access and adding a hole of 70 cm. which coincides with the carpentry closure of the main staircase of the Hospital. The rest of the volume is proposed with light black lacquered aluminum material on the two longitudinal ends of the volume, leaving the glazed column of the main staircase free on its north side.
On the west facade, the gallery of dirty circulation is intended to improve the width of the plant and with the same treatment as the gallery, also flown, of the public circulation of the morgue that has the transverse volume of brick factory White on the last floor and perpendicular to that of operating theaters.
A longitudinal installation skylight along the entire length of the extension and the facade to the patio completes the proposed volumetry.
