The new La Llagosta Primary Care Center is located on a rectangular plot of 860 m² on Avenida 11 de Septiembre, in the densest residential area of the municipality, near the Town Hall Square.

The building, an isolated prism with a rectangular base, occupies the entire plot and has a garden patio inside that organizes the distribution of the program and circulation flows. The volumetric design includes greater height on the main avenue (PB+2) and one level less on the rear street (PB+1), which improves the relationship with the environment and offers views of the garden roof.

The main entrance, located on the corner of the avenue and the plaza, is transparent and accessible, connecting the lobby with the public space. Information is distributed visually from the reception desk and physical activity is encouraged with an open staircase.

The ground and first floors house the public access program, while the second floor has restricted access. The ground floor includes an unscheduled care area with direct access to the street for exceptional situations such as Covid19. The pediatric area is also located on this floor, whose waiting area can open to the patio during good weather times.


The building has a laminated wood structure and facades of sandwich-type wood panels with passive solar protection. Sustainable solutions have been implemented to reduce energy consumption, such as the distribution of the program around the central patio to optimize the routes and cross ventilation of all spaces. The materials have been selected for their durability and low maintenance.
